On Tour - with James Brown

These are photos from my James Brown files. There are more, but I selected the cream of the crop for your viewing pleasure.

I spent a decade with the Godfather of Soul, all compressed into just a few months from winter 1995 to Summer 1996. It was intense. We both knew it was destiny. I guess the universe thought we had something to teach each other. We managed to go deep. Besides living the top tier celebrity life, watching a genius at work, meeting fabulous people, performing with the singers, giving television interviews, and signing autographs - there was a meaningful purpose for our being together. It was about helping each other become more of the person we want to be. It was truly a soul situation.

We touched God together. We even touched love - the purest kind of love that makes time irrelevant and everything else seem unnecessary. Thank you, James for the E-ticket ride. I feel your presence often and I miss you.
